  • Yes, you can.

  • Can I create an organisation even if I am not working for it?

  • Yes, you can, but only if no one else has signed up the organisation. Make sure that you specify this information when signing up.

  • No, never.

  • Yes, it is. We live on private donations. Please donate.

  • Why should I use the World Donation Project application if I already donate to an organisation that I trust?

  • By using the World Donation Project application the whole donation process becomes more transparent as everyone will be able to see how much each organisation has received and can then choose accordingly what organisation to donate to.

  • Can I search for an item to see if it is requested?

  • Yes, you can.

  • Can I search an organiation to see what they have received?

  • Yes, you can. All completed transactions are archived but can be consulted.

  • Can I search a person to search what they have transported?

  • Yes, you can.

  • Can I donate an article which is not requested by an organisation?

  • Yes, but the World Donation Project application is based on the idea that not more should be given than what was requested for. This supports the idea of sustainabilty. WHYS will send an email to all the organisations asking them if they request it. If yes, then the organisation can submit a request to the World Donation Project for the article.

  • Can I buy the items locally that I want to donate?

  • Some you can and some you can't. Some research will have to be done. Generally it will be good to buy locally so as to support the local economy where the project is taking place.

  • Can I just donate items and get someone else to transport them?

  • Yes, you can. You could also be just one person requesting, donating and transporting.

  • How do I know that the requesting organisation really exists?

  • First, WHYS verifies that the organisation-project really exists and gives it green approved tick. There after by checking how many times an organisation has already received something indicates that the organisation really exists.

  • Must I report any scams?

  • Yes, please do. This will protect futur users of the World Donation Project.

  • Is the World Donation Project application adapted to react during big emergencies?

  • Yes, it is. International organisations or a local charity can make use of the World Donation Project application.
